Bones, a certified professional in animal track and sign, will open your eyes to the world of stories written all around us in the form of track & sign. We may even get into some “inner tracking” around the fire. And with more time to work with, we'll be able to get into really good stuff like introducing the four basic skills of Shelter, Water, Fire and Food; Journaling, drawing and grooving with this notion of belonging and being perfect just as you is.
Feather & Bone
Bones and Danielle are rare and precious teachers. The landscape we track together as a Feather & Bone community is both the world all around us and the world deep within us. We seek the story of the red squirrel with the same inspired curiosity as the story of who we are, how we became, and who we are still becoming. Through powerful group experiences the art of tracking becomes a life skill and a brilliant, beautiful way of seeing our own journey and the journey of those around us. I am so grateful for all the learning and growing we have done together and for the many big belly laughs along the way. Thank you Feather & Bone witches!

Camp with us

Feather and Bone is a rare opportunity to explore the woods of Maine with two extraordinary guides who allow an experience of connecting with yourself as you connect to the natural world. I could go on and on but one has to experience it for themselves to understand the magic that the weekends hold.
Going outside with Bones and Danielle has taught me to see things I never even knew how to notice. They've nurtured my curiosity for my surroundings with joy, play, and love. I feel like the explorer I always wanted to be.
Meet Danielle
For the Feather and Bone activities and events, like Wild Camp, Bones has teamed up with Danielle Marple.
Danielle has always loved to play in the woods. When she’s not out tracking with Bones you can probably find her in the nearest puddle getting wet and muddy with her two year old daughter, Raven. Danielle has been teaching nature connection & outdoor adventure programs since 2006, including camps for families and teens with Children of the Earth Foundation, guiding sea kayaking trips in Alaska, and living for a year in a wigwam in the Pine Barrens of New Jersey as a caretaker at the Tom Brown Jr. Tracker School.
Currently she also teaches earth-based healing classes for adults at Wilderness Fusion and sees clients in her healing practice which she describes as tracking & deep connection on the inner landscape. Find out more at: https://wildernessfusion.

I love the outdoors and have hiked and climbed a lot, but with others who know much more than I do. I was thrilled to learn about Feather & Bone and participate in the adventures with other WILD WOMEN! Bones and Danielle have guided us in fun exploration and have drawn us into deep friendships with like women. I live a good distance from Maine, so this was a big commitment and I couldn't be happier that I chose to make it! I am honored and privileged to have participated and look forward to future adventures.
